2006 SAAB 9-5 Vector Sport 2.0 turbo petrol
Summary:
Appears to be great, but is one of the worst cars I have ever had
Faults:
No faults in the 4 months I have had the car.
It is in excellent condition, and has been well maintained.
Saab have checked the car and say it is in perfect order.
General Comments:
A very rough car indeed.
The car has a lot of good points, but the bad ones seriously affect any possible enjoyment.
The noise in the cabin is so excessive that after an hour on the motorway, I need to get out of the car.
The poor ride and vibration are so bad that after only 4 months I am going to change the car.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

This noise problem is probably due to the tyres, and not the car...

I has similar issue with noise from the back of my SAAB 9-5. Turned out there was a flat spot on the back tyres. Once I changed the tyres, the noise left. Previous owner had fitted tyres that were not rated for the weight of a SAAB.

I has similar problem with noise from my 9-5. As with the previous comment, it turned out to be a flat spot on the back tyres, underrated tyres again.

I even let a Saab technician sit next to me out for a test drive and point out the noise from the back, even though it is only slightly noisy, normally people won't have hear it. Anyway, the Saab authorized dealer service center fixed the problem, and it has nothing to do with Saab, it's the audio system installer fault. Not tight enough. Check the tire specs, tire pressure and shock absorbers. More than that, a Saab technician is needed.
