2000 Seat Leon Sport 20VT 1.8 turbo petrol
Summary:
Seat's best car yet and easily the most car for your money on the market today
Faults:
Every thing was fine until last week when the instrument cluster performed an inpromptu lightshow.
The car no longer starts and it has been back at the dealer's show room where they claim it now needs a new "instrument panel".
They cannot confirm whether or not this will solve the problem.
General Comments:
I simply adore Seat cars - the policy of Volkswagen parts at a snip of the original cost is too much to avoid.
I bought the Leon on the spot whilst looking for a Cordoba SX to replace my Cordoba GLX.
An absolute outstanding motor car for the money. What you get for your £16,000 is a re-chipped Audi A3 1.8T - same engine, same interior, same build quality - but faster. Infact the engine is taken right out of the Audi TT roadster; the engine and six-speed gear box propels you along at an incredible 185BHP, speed limited to 147MPH.
Some of the features are not Audi sourced - the climatronic is inferior to Audi's and doesn't seem to work as well as you would expect but apart from the fact my car may have been fitted with dodgy electrics :( I would not hesitate to recommend this vehicle to anybody looking for an invigorating, fun car to drive.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I like the red display in it!
