1999 Seat Toledo TDiSE 1.9 turbo diesel
Summary:
I highly recommend the car
Faults:
Inside left door handle material worn.
Bootlid had to be reset, as when being opened or closed, it would scrape paint off the bumper.
Front brake discs have had to be changed twice.
The paint gets chipped badly from motorway driving.
General Comments:
The car has now done 82,000 miles and has always been totally reliable.
The cabin is well laid out. Very comfortable driving position. Lovely leather steering wheel.
The Toledo handles well and is extremely economical with the diesel engine. Plenty of pulling power for overtaking and for climbing steep hills.
The car is extremely good looking. So many people pass pleasant comments about my car. In dark " Indigo " blue it really looks lovely.
I carry very large musical instruments in the car's enormous boot.
My Toledo has an amazing number of very useful extras.
An example of a few of the many extras:
Heated mirrors inside and out, self moving mirrors, climate control, ESP traction control, ABS breaking, a wonderful 6 CD-autochanger with eight speakers.
I have always had excellent efficient service from my local main Seat dealer.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

The locks itself business is not a fault. All VW / Audi's do this. Its to stop tw*ts with scanners getting past the immobilizer. Also a good security point... if you unlock it and then don't get in it locks itself again!!
