2012 Seat Toledo SE 1.6 turbo diesel
Summary:
Economical modern car
Faults:
Brake discs and pads renewed, armrest is useless and broken, dodgy DPF replaced (expensive). Other than that, nothing too costly or disastrous, I try to keep the car serviced on time.
General Comments:
A great little car, sharp looking in white with alloy wheels I fitted. The car is dull to drive, but looks great and the cabin is comfortable. Not the most refined - fair bit of road and engine noise, but the car returns on that with great practicality and economy.
A smaller car, but space inside is surprisingly good; you see lots of these cars as taxi's.
I hate the stupid armrest that gets in the way of the handbrake! This is a common annoyance on 2000's VW/Seat/Skoda's.
The 1.6 turbo diesel is fast enough for me and does 60 MPG, cannot say fairer than that. A friend of mine has a more modern one of these with the "adblu" system; try and avoid those models if you can - just another annoying expense when they go wrong.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

My local taxi rank has a couple of these cars with the "adblu" system - and they all had problems with it anywhere between the 50,000 - 100,000 mile points.
