1997 Skoda Felicia LX 1.3 petrol 54bhp
Summary:
Good value for money - watch out for niggly problems though
Faults:
Distributor failed - replacement surprisingly expensive. Apparently this is a common problem so thought it better to buy new.
Driver's seat collapsed - replaced cheaply with one from a scrap car.
Coil died causing engine to cut out when warm - again replaced with second hand part.
General Comments:
Not a half bad little car - I did at least 300 miles per week in it all the time I owned it.
Some trim cheap and breakable, but most parts reasonably priced.
Good performance and handling considering the type of car and the age of the basic design.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Bad luck! a shame as so many others had good experiences. We've traded up to a Fabia now and its great.
