1995 Toyota Celica GT4 2 litre turbo

Summary:

Supercar performance for budget pocket

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

This car is amazingly quick. No, seriously, it's fantastic. It is a genuine supercar for relatively little money. 0 - 60 in around 6 seconds, permanent four wheel drive gives superb handling, and the ride is surprisingly supple for a car of this nature.

The interior is functional, certainly nothing special. Dominated by black with very few 'toys' to play with. Drivers seat doesn't even have a memory function so that when you tip the seat forward to access the rear seat, you end up playing with the settings for days to get it 'just right' again!

The car I have was personally imported from Japan and was already fitted with a non-subtle body kit. The looks it gets are not for the shy.

Yeah had two of these. 0-60 is actually more like 5.2 and if you up the boost with a boost controller you are dealing with a mad man. Eats Impreza's in the higher speed range, I know I have one now! Fantastic cars, great noise from the turbo, huge howl and then a little chirp on the red line. Brilliant!

0-60 is about 6.0s, I have a rev3 MR2 turbo with near identical engine. Take away the charge cooler it does 0-60 5.0 dead. It has left many a GT4 in its dust.

Good cars though the GT4s.

^^^^^ agree the gt4 is closer to 6s 0-60. Great car, though I'm on the lookout for a good one as I've decided to sell my rev3 MR2 turbo, as I now need 4 seats :-(

It's a fast car and a rally legend, that is all you need to know :)

1995 Toyota Celica ST 1.8 petrol

Faults:

Absolutely nothing. Apart from the normal services (every 9000 miles) it hasn't seen a garage at all.

General Comments:

I still think it's a gorgeous car to look at, and it drives extremely well also.

I would have preferred the GT version but all models share the same chassis and the road handling is excellent on them all.

The accommodation in the rear is cramped, but the boot is large for a coupe.

If I didn't have small children now I'd buy one again.
