Faults:

Middle bench under seat lever (to move seat forward and back) required adjustment.

General Comments:

This car is the one to have if you want to ferry up to 8 people and their luggage around.

The engine is not going to set any records for speed, but neither is it sluggish. It's just that it seems set up for steady driving which is really what you want in a large MPV if you're going to avoid car sickness.

It is a strong engine, even as an automatic, and it tows our twin axle caravan without difficulty. The front wheels can be made to spin quite easily though if you are not careful when pulling away from a junction.

The interior is light and airy and the climate control works well.

With a lot of town driving 24 mpg can be expected although nearer 30 can be obtained on A roads.

Suspension is set just about right being comfortable both on pot-holed country roads and on motorways.

Major gripe is that although this is meant to be an 8 seater vehicle, there are only lap belts for those sitting in the middle of the two rear bench seats. Why not full 3 point belts?

Faults:

Travel wedges were left in the front well. So the car was noisy over rough roads.

When bought down to garage, the problem was sorted out in a couple of minutes.

General Comments:

The car is very big, and is great to travel around on holidays. We traveled from England to Spain for a month. The car was fitted with tinted glass to front (not windscreen). This is not standard. We found the extra protection from the sun great. Also, the car looks much better (it caught the eyes of a lot of people on the roads in Spain. People would stop and look for the name). There were a least 6 Silver Previas on board on the way back (same model).

We had a VW MPV (Sharon) on the same trip the year before. But found the Previa much more roomy and easier to keep clean.

Mr Toyota, could you please make the car in Ireland come with more as standard/not as extras. My wife has expensive taste, and likes the good things in life.

I am hoping to fit a Clarion TV in the car dash/also screens in the headrest. If anybody who is reading this has fitted the same or similar, could they let us know of any problems.
