This car is very easy to drive.
The interior is very well designed, and there is plenty of space for cleaning cloths etc.

The JD Power Survey got it right - an excellent package
Absolutely nothing - car has been 100% reliable.
The car was bought as a city runabout, but due to a job change found itself doing 120 miles a day on the motorway.
Despite having only a 1.0 litre engine the motorway performance is adequate without being scintilating, it's comfortable, safe and well equipped for the price.
It also does 55-56 miles per gallon on the motorway, is cheap to insure and has surprisingly low servicing costs to date. Add in exemplarary dealer service and it's an excellent package. Having traded in a VW Lupo which was nothing but trouble from new with a dealer and manufacturer who didn't care about customer service the Yaris has been a revelation -and can be thoroughly recommended.

Quick and fun, but could be better
Slight rattle from new in the driver's door. I'll have it looked into at the first service.
For its price and fuel economy (just over 40mpg, as the EU figures say), the performance is excellent.
There are a few weaknesses in the specification: the front seats don't have "memory" when they're folded to allow people into the back, there's no boot light, the CD player is of modest quality and the steering wheel only adjusts for rake, not reach.
The T Sport's main problem is that it's close-ratio gearbox gives a buzzy 3500rpm at 70mph. There's plenty of torque to allow a sixth gear to be fitted, and this would make motorway driving far more relaxed. The flipside is that the engine remains very willing to accelerate at this speed, so pulling out into a lane of faster traffic is easy.

Shows how good small cars can be these days. Characterful fun little car. 1.3 engine does not set the world alight but is adequate. Build and quality would not disgrace a much more expensive car.
Light and easy to drive but wide tyres of SR package lead to tramlining on UK roads. High speed stability a bit lacking but acceptable. Well equipped with effective air con, surprisingly punchy stereo and most electric bits. Well packaged with plenty of room for size.
One of those cars which can't help but put a smile on a drivers face. 40mpg, low depreciation and 3 year warranty add up to a great financial package.
Comfortable considering it's basically a supermini.

Faster, reliable and safe
Brakes used to make noises when used at low speed, the dealer sorted this out within 1 week.
Paint work chips very easily. The dealer is looking in to this because of other reports of this problem.
Gear box can feel hard to use.
For a 1300 this car flys. Faster than most older 1600s.
Remote control central locking is very useful.
ABS works great in the dry, but can be unreliable in the wet or ice.

I have to agree fully with this review.
Our Yaris is a Luna, exactly the same spec as an SR, but without the alloy wheels. We bought it from a car supermarket. Apparently they import them from Ireland.
It is very nippy, economical, and roomy.
The local Toyota dealer couldn't be more helpful.
The only complaint I have is that I find the accelerator pedal far to light and quick-acting to drive smoothly. On the other hand, my wife really likes it!
After 6400 miles the average fuel consumption is 45.1 MPG, according to the LCD display.

I find the rear seat is most inadequate, no leg room whatsoever, and access to rear seat is poor.
