2018 Vauxhall Astra SRi 1.4T petrol

Summary:

Nice

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

Astra SRi. Once a dull car, but the modern Astra is as good as any car. Economical, fast, and so far reliable.

Interior comfort is as good as it will get as well. Spacious as any in this class. Reasonably quiet on motorways. All the electrics and connectivity you need.

Exterior nice in white, 5 spoke alloy wheels.

Difficult to say much more. If you need a good modern car, the Astra is well worth it.

2018 Vauxhall Astra Turbo SRi Vx Line 1.4 petrol

Summary:

Ideal modern transport!

Faults:

Nothing more than services and wear and tear parts replaced in the two years I have owned the car. Age such a young age and low mileage, I would not anticipate any problems. The car looks as good as new, but I do cherish it.

General Comments:

The Astra in SRi Vx Line spec is a wonderful car. Nothing special, but Vauxhall have made a hum-drum middle of the road hatchback a very nice car to own and drive daily.

Exterior is gorgeous as is the interior. My car is black with black with black/grey cloth sports seats. Very comfortable and plenty of electrics. Visibility a bit limited, but you get used to it. Rear seats a bit cramped for adult passengers, and the boot space might actually be slight smaller than the previous model (or it might be my imagination) but I am being really picky now. Center console display is also a bit fiddly, but you get used to it.

1.4 turbo petrol engine is a good one, fast while doing over 40 mpg regularly. Not quite averaged the claimed 50 mpg by Vauxhall, but I would imagine this is possible if you take it easy cruising on motorways on long drives.

If you are after a good looking fun to drive reliable car, look no further than a cared for Astra.
