1980 Vauxhall Cavalier GLS Sport Hatch Coupe 1.6 petrol

Summary:

A sporty, stylish and practical coupe

Faults:

Oil leaks started within weeks of me buying the car.

Clock and radio both stopped working shortly before I traded it in.

Seats were comfortable, but were already falling apart when I bought it.

General Comments:

The Cavalier Sport Hatch Coupe was very comfortable and practical for a coupe, as well as being entertaining to drive and fairly cheap to run. For its age it was a very reliable and solid car which was a bargain at £1,000 when I bought it.

Unfortunately, the Cavalier was stolen two years later and was found a few days later, burnt out in a country lane.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
