Faults:
Leaking fuel tank. Suspect the fuel pump was replaced and the tank incorrectly reassembled.
Blown instrument panel bulbs.
Replaced stuck thermostat at 75,000 miles. Big job to replace as timing belt needs removing to gain access. Replaced timing belt at same time, also new water pump and timing belt tensioner (the pump was leaking and the tensioner seized).
Leaking front brake hose at 80,000 miles.
Leaking head gasket at front of engine at 80,000 miles. Machined head and replaced.
General rust starting to appear in a few places on the car.
Bumpers have faded, but Autoglym bumper care takes care of this.
General Comments:
Apart from all the maintenance, this is a great car and is used to commute everyday. We have done some big trips all over England in the short time we have had it. And most of these trips have involved motorway driving at 80-90mph+ continuously. The car handles this with ease.
Fuel consumption is great and although it has done high mileage, it doesn't burn any oil.
Handling is not the best at speed, but as to be expected for a 'shopping basket'
Unless you can do your own maintenance like myself, I think the garage costs will quickly begin to make this car uneconomical.
But to be fair this is a 10 year old car and as with any old car, you would expect it to have a few problems that require sorting out.

I am interested in buying a Corsa and I found your review very informative. Would anyone recommed the corsa to a driver who is 6ft 3ins tall? Thanks.
