2006 Vauxhall Corsa Life 1.0 16v petrol
Summary:
Decent first car
Faults:
Consumables, plus expected wear and tear.
Engine check light came on, went away on its own.
Doors a bit creaky when I was done with it.
Radio sometimes wouldn't work.
General Comments:
My first car, and the first of the newer shape Corsas for 2006. Huge improvement over previous models.
1.0 Life model is as basic as you can get, slow engine and not much equipment. Seats were comfortable enough though for long or short journeys. Quiet and smooth running, very refined for a smaller car.
Did a solid 45 mpg though, was cheap to run which I needed being younger, insurance was OK too.
Quite a smart looking and hard wearing little car, when I sold it at nine years old the phone did not stop ringing. You will always find a buyer for a looked after Corsa.
As slow and as boring and basic as it was, I do actually miss it, but everyone has a soft spot for their first car!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

You should have had more equipment, Active was not base spec. I had a 2005 Corsa with Active spec and it had air con. Didn't work though. Anyways, these were pretty cheap and nasty, headgasket failed on mine as well.
