2014 Vauxhall Corsa Excite 1.2 16v petrol

Summary:

Good first car

Faults:

Front sub frame rust, just needing welding, common MOT issue on these cars. But they are expensive to replace entirely if needed.

Rest was just wear and tear. I keep my car serviced on time.

General Comments:

Bright white 2014 Corsa. Nothing special but I like it. It is my first car.

Fun to drive. 1.2 petrol is not fast but I am getting a solid 40 - 47 mpg or more, who needs diesel?

Nice interior still feels fresh and modern for age.

Surprisingly comfortable, spacious and quiet and smooth for a smaller car.

In short, I like it. Decent tax and insurance rates which is all I need right now.

2014 Vauxhall Corsa SRi 1.4 16v petrol

Summary:

Basic

Faults:

Not much other than servicing and essentials. Sub frame a little rusty at last MOT (advisory). Apparently common issue on these cars.

General Comments:

My Corsa SRi has been a decent little run about for the last few years.

Not very fast, and the best MPG I have had is 44, not the claimed 50 MPG from Vauxhall official stats. But the 1.4 petrol engine is reliable enough if looked after. Quiet and refined also for such a small car. Tax and insurance are reasonable.

Seats are nice and comfy, SRi spec has plenty of kit.

Dull in metallic grey, would have preferred bright red but buying used I had no choice. Alloy wheels are very nice however.

Overall just a basic little run about, cannot ask for more. Be aware of overpriced cars on the used market, do not pay too much for an older Corsa.

2014 Vauxhall Corsa SXi 1.4 16v petrol

Summary:

Smart little car

Faults:

Broken front springs, blowing exhaust system, etc.

The car is serviced on time, no serious problems.

A common issue to look out for is the sub frame on these Corsas do rust early; get this checked if you are buying one at ten + years old. Thankfully mine is OK for now.

General Comments:

Black 2014 Corsa SXi, 2 door, very good looking car for what it is.

Reliable and economical.

1.4 does not have much power, but will do you over 45 mpg on average.

Surprisingly quiet and refined, smooth to ride/drive.

Very basic but brilliant little car!

2014 Vauxhall Corsa SRi 1.4 16v petrol

Summary:

Nice little run about

Faults:

Discs and pads at MOT, putting this down to wear and tear for the mileage. No major faults. Interior is a little rattly now. Suspension creak when going lock to lock, will get that checked out soon.

General Comments:

Corsa SRi in black, 2 door, best looking as far as I'm concerned. This has been my main mode of transport for a while now and I have no complaints about this little car, it has never given me any major trouble.

SRi is the one to go for, well equipped and modern interior with nice black/red contrast. Nice and quiet for a smaller car, very refined.

1.4 petrol is a good all round unit, not fast by any stretch of the imagination, but take it slow and you'll get about 50 miles per gallon, mid 40's at worst.

Compared to my previous 2008 Ford Fiesta, there is honestly little between these cars now, it just comes down to what you prefer, most modern cars are all the same now.
