2014 Vauxhall Insignia Energy 1.4T petrol
Summary:
Smooth drive
Faults:
Turbo failed (£480 for a new one supplied and fitted).
Misfire (mechanic fixed this cheaply).
Water leaks in boot area, headlights also have condensation. Common minor faults I will fix myself when I have time.
Plus the usual wear and tear of age and miles.
General Comments:
The face-lifted 2014 Insignia is a very nice car to drive.
1.4 Turbo is the engine to go for, punchy and still does around 40 miles per gallon if you take it slow.
"Energy" is a basic spec, but the car has plenty of electric kit as standard. Interior is comfortable and refined.
Boot space is huge.
Well worth a look if you find a looked after car at a good price; these are as cheap as it gets in this class on the used market.
Best in dark colors, it is a fantastic looking car!

Fantastic cars. Watch for the coil packs failing and causing misfiring on the 1.8 petrols. Relatively cheap to fix. This engine is still more reliable than the more common CDTi diesels.
