2000 Vauxhall Tigra 1.4
Summary:
I love my Tigra... Please Vauxhall, sort the electrics
Faults:
My car has been brilliant for 6 years I've owned it. A reliable good drive. Even with a small boot, with the back seat down I can get an adult pushbike and lots of baggage in there.
A few problems through the years, mainly electrics... have had the problem of the engine light on; had diagnostics saying all was OK... but not... Anyway took it to one garage and they found a penny lodged in the cigarette lighter. But I had a new sensor any way.
The last 3 years the car has passed its MOT with no repairs beforehand.
I love my Tigra, but now I have a problem with a new battery being drained overnight. I have looked for lighting that may stay on overnight... found that my heater knob has a light on that does not go off after turning the ignition off... so had that disconnected... had the new battery checked & it's OK... So still looking for the problem of the drained battery every day. I jump start in the morning & after driving around it charges. I go to my car in the evening & start the engine... fine... but then every morning at 6am I try to start it, but NO... so I don't know what I will do.
Don't like the shape of the newer models... 2000 year is the best look.
If I resolve the electrics problem, I will keep my Red Tigra.
General Comments:
I love the shape and I love the name. My Tigra has been very reliable; had it 6 years, and it likes long drives.
The electrics seem to be main problem with this car in general.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Tigra was ok, but lets be honest, Ford's Puma was way better.
