Faults:

Only just got the car, but runs fine.

Good handling and very fast.

A good motorway cruiser.

I am lucky that my uncle is a dealer, but he bought the car and sold it. he later bought it back in part ex. So he must have faith to buy back the same car he sold.

General Comments:

I think the Volvo 460 (and 440) are attractive looking cars. The front grille gives a regal look, whilst the sloping bonnet gives an impression of speed.

The car is quick, and drives well, but due to the 5th gear is not much worse than my old 4 gear Micra for petrol.

Mine is a basic car, but still has a 6 speaker stereo, electric windows and tilt & swivel sunroof. Electric mirrors and seat warmers too.

That's more than enough gadgets for me.

Faults:

At about 70,000 miles the heated rear window stopped working.

I have a very slight coolent leak, about a pint every 6 weeks.

The boot springs have got weak, and let the boot lid fall down.

General Comments:

I have done a lot of motorway miles in this car, and you can drive all day at 70-80 mph with no problems.

Not the best of looking cars, but very relieable.

A good size boot, a good safe family car.

Faults:

Driver's side heated seat not working.

Everything else is fine.

General Comments:

Feels safe and comfortable on the motorway.

Good fuel economy (38 mpg).

Cheap insurance (Group 7).

Electric 'everything' on this car initially worried me, but apart from the driver's heated seat, everything is fine.

General Comments:

Lack of power mounted also a JAMEX sports-airfilter. Tyre-size 185/55 15 is too small, a 195/50 15 or a 205/50 15 gives more of a match to driving performance.
