1992 Acura Legend LS 3.2L from North America

Summary:

"How do you expect to be a legend if you don't drive one?"

Faults:

No major problems with this car, just routine maintenance and wear tear parts. (Brakes, light bulbs, etc.)

General Comments:

I purchased this car from the original owner in 1996 with 60000Km fully documented at local Acura dealer, with only fluid change in four years, I was skeptical at first, but the car was amazing to drive, very responsive, I drive four others before looking at this one and I knew it was a keeper.

I had timing belt replaced in 1997.

Replaced the radiator in 2000.

Timing Belt replaced again in 2002,I change every five years.

My wife had a minor mishap in 2002,passenger front wheel got hit, insurance covered, still rides very well.

My wife presently drives this car, we purchased a relatively new RL in 2002 (2002 RL with 8000KM).

I would recommend the Legend to anyone, but considering the age it will most likely impossible to find one in pristine condition.

This car still turns heads whenever we are out, most people still don't believe that it is a 1992.

I also had it painted in 2000,being outside for eight years fades the paint a lot, color is Harvard Blue.

General Comments:

This car handles like a dream.

It floats on the highway and never tires out.

The interior was designed immaculately.

There was no better car out that year.

My car was totalled by a friend of mine.

The car was involved in a head on collision, and still crank and drove quietly soundly.

Insurance refused to fix the cosmetic damage.

My friend says that the car saved her life.

1992 Acura Legend LS Coupe V6 from North America

Summary:

So far, great handling, throttle response, awesome seats, and one sexy car

Faults:

Nothing yet.

General Comments:

I just recently purchased this car (8/30/05) and was cross shopping the Lexus SC300/400 with the Legend Coupe.

I had test driven 4 SCs before finding the Legend. It took one test drive for me to choose the Acura.

Although the specs for both vehicles are almost identical, the Acura seems to have more room and not as cramped as the SC.

Handing on the Acura, in my opinion, is more precise and makes you feel connected to the road.

Although I've only had it for one day, I am really enjoying this car. I find any excuse to run out to the store or any other errands.

The vehicle I bought has 107,*** miles, but was maintained very, very well. The engine bay looks brand new and runs excellent.

Acura really knew how to put this car together.

1992 Acura Legend LS 3.2 SOHC 24 Valve from North America

Summary:

Bling Bling!!

Faults:

Car is making a clicking sound that seems like the body/frame is being stretched or so.

Front left side is making a squeaking sound which I still don't know exactly what it is.

A/C temperature dial inside was twitching for about a week or two, but has stopped for some reason.

Car was upgraded to 18" rims and the tires are being eaten alive on the inside track of the tires. Car was bought used with brand new tires. It's only been about 20K miles, and tires may need replacing soon.

One spot on passenger seat is worn out, but not that bad, considering it's a 14 year old car.

Master (brake) cylinder needed replacement ($70) because it was leaking brake fluid.

Regular maintenance (Oil/filter change, coolant change, etc.)

General Comments:

There may have been other problems before I got the car, but these are ones that I have encountered with 20K miles of traveling so far. In my opinion, I just love this car. Although those clicking and squeaking noises are just bugging me, I still love it other than that.

On stock suspension, it doesn't quite handle as I would like. But considering that it is a luxury coupe, it handles fine. Acceleration is average. It's pulling 200 horses, so it's plenty for most people. It's a sleeper car, that no other people think of when buying cars. It's an attention getter definitely.
