Could be the heat shield for the exhaust system. Check for fractures. It could be the problem. Causes really annoying squeaks.

Now these comments are even older :) I wonder what happened to that guy's legend... Maybe he sold it long ago and now owns another Legend or a Vigor.

UPDATE: I am the original poster. I still have that Legend. It now has 189,000 miles, and it still runs great. I'm especially impressed by the quality of the paint. It still shines and even though I got dinged a couple of times, the paint has held up well. Fortunately, I didn't have too many problems with it after the warranty expired (100K miles).
Here's a list of some problems I've encountered since:
Brake Master Cylinder replaced because of an internal leak.
Both CV Boots tore/cracked. Both boots & axles replaced.
Antenna Mast broke. Replaced entire antenna.
Window Master switch went bad. Replaced.
Inside Door Handle broke. Replaced.
Outside Door Handle broke. Not yet fixed.
The top radiator has developed a small leak again. I'm considering my options.

I've been searching for a legend in my neck of the woods (NE Kansas) for sometime now. Finally found one for sale, but there is a small/large problem possibly. It has a rear main seal leak. I'm hoping I can get the dealer to fix it because I really want this car. Anyone had that problem? I'm wondering how much it will cost to repair. It runs great and in fantastic condition otherwise.

Well, it's now October, 2001. I added the original entry in June, 2001. At that time the car had a squeaking problem and the car was in a shop that was trying to find the problem.
That same day, the owner of the shop was able to locate and fix the problem, and it only cost me $60. Apparently, one of the control arms was bent, and it was rubbing against some other components whenever the car bounced at all. After thinking about it, I think the problem originated after this one time when the rear wheel dropped in an open manhole on a dark night.
Anyhow, I have to give props to Exact Motorsports in Milpitas, CA for locating and fixing this problem. Even the dealer didn't get to the bottom of it.
I didn't get a chance to add this additional info for a while after it was fixed in late June, but I've really enjoyed the car's new and improved suspension since and I still love this car. As for the Acura dealer, I haven't gone back to them since.
