2005 Acura TL 3.2 VTEC from North America

Summary:

Very satisfied with this car and hope service lives up to expectations

Faults:

No problems.

General Comments:

Great car with very powerful and responsive engine and excellent handling.

Audio system is excellent, although selection of DVD audio disks is very limited so hard to experience full benefits.

Excellent seating.

Center post between front and ear doors intrudes into cabin more than most cars and obscures vision slightly.

Turning circle is large.

Headlights are not as good as expected - particularly on high-beam.

Limited color choices.

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

What a nitpick, choose another car next time.

I am sorry, but I must respectfully disagree with the other comment providers before me. I have recently test driven this car (far different from owning it I know.) I loved it. But before I buy it I want to know what everyone who owns one thinks.

I really do like to hear the both good AND bad about what people feel about the car. After all it is a survey, and everyone's experiences are going to be different. Please don't bag on people because they have a different view, or have had a problem with something you think it fine. Being different is great.

My TL has factory XENON hedlights. Turn them on its like daytime. I cannot imagine you cannot see unless you added some add'l non factory extra dark tinted windows. Wait til you have to buy a headlight replacement bulb... you will really have a nit pick on that. My comments are that the braking could be better and on the upper limit on the speedometer the handling is a bit touchy. This car is worth every penny however.

I purchased my 2005 TL (base, no Nav) new in October of 2005. Five years later, I am just as happy and satisfied with this car as the day I took it home. It is powerful, comfortable, luxurious, a great cruiser on the highway and relatively inexpensive to own. (Someone find me some wood to knock on!)

To date, only normal maintenance has been required. Oil & filter changes, a new battery earlier this year and rear brakes at 30k miles.

The car is approaching 41k miles, and while the mileage is low, one might say it hasn't been used enough to give a verdict, but "time" and environment have a way of wearing a car out.. and it is still solid. The black paint and black leather have withstood the 4 seasons of New England weather admirably.

The only downside is the turning radius; a bit large, but given everything else the car has going for it, a small price to pay for what you get.

I expect I will still love looking at its great looks, and enjoying all the pleasures it has to offer, for many more years to come.
