2005 Acura TSX 2.4L VTEC i-4 from North America
Summary:
The TSX is a great car for the right price!
Faults:
For a short time, the left turn signal would not shut off automatically when the wheel was turned back. The problem has corrected itself.
General Comments:
We bought this car to replace a 2002 Volkswagen Passat that we loved, but we could not find another Passat as there is a new model coming soon. However, our cars are leased, so we needed a new one right away.
We looked at the Subaru Legacy GT, the Chrysler 300, and the Acura TSX and TL.
The TSX was the best deal by far - most standard features, plenty of power, and excellent fuel economy (22/31). We absolutely love the XM radio, which is also standard.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I've had my TSX for 9 months. My gas mileage is 29.6 mpg. The SF Bay Area is not the best place for gas economy, so I'm thrilled.
XM Radio will give you a deal for $4.95 a month if you stop using the service for a month or so after the three month trial period.
I looked at and drove an Audi A4, a BMW 3 series, an Infiniti G35, and a Honda Accord. I would still buy a TSX if given the choice again. The only thing I'd love to see is a convertible. My TSX is a 2005. Not sure why people bash the Navigation system. To me it is powerful, accurate, and easy to use. Just wish they could do away with the warning screens.

Traded a 2001 Toyota Solara for a new TSX for my wife, but knew I'd enjoy it also.
It's a wonderful everything kind of car and great for a little person who has a difficult time in judging distances, but it does not get 32 miles per gallon on the highway even with the Engine off... just kidding, however gas mileage is worse in this 200 horsepower 4 cylinder TSX than it was in our 2001, 200 horsepower V-6 slightly larger and heavier Solara.
Additionally, The XM radio is very nice, but its not standard. The subscription that is. You will probably get a few months on the Dealership, but after that you must subscribe and it isn't that cheap to keep your XM.
Overall, however the car is excellent, but has a lot fewer standard features in 2005 than the TL if that was another choice. The 06 TSX has added a few things to align it a little closer to the TL in standard features, but they are still miles apart.
Finally, the TSX is not a bargain. It was designed to compete with the BMW 3-Series and really is almost totally different in form and function, but the cost is pushing 29 grand now and if you add a few of the ground effects packages it is easily over 30 and into Beemer territory.
We love our TSX for a lot of reasons the least of which is for the XM Radio subscription and argueably good gas mileage.
Thanks for the opportunity to respond.
PS: I also have an 04 Acura MDX and dollar for dollar would rate it as one of the best luxury SUV's you can buy at any price. Zero defects in almost two years of ownership. It doesn't do well at the pumps either.
