2000 Alfa Romeo 145 Cloverleaf 2.0 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Versatile quick hatchback for those who dare to be different

Faults:

First 4 years were pretty trouble free.

First major expense was new brake pads & discs around 40,000 miles. Discs were badly corroded.

Engine cut out problems at 50,000 miles caused by corroded relays & terminals.

Split air-con pipe at 60,000 miles.

Corroded radiator replaced at 65,000 miles.

Rear light cluster fell off recently when I closed the bootlid!

General Comments:

Not as quick as the latest batch of hot-hatches that are around now, but still great fun to drive.

Not as boring or common as a VW Golf.

You get noticed because it's different.

Versatile car with lots of interior space & a decent boot for such a small car.

Twin spark engine uses more oil, so keep an eye on that dipstick!

Cambelt needs changing every 36,000miles not 72,000. don't get caught out!

Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
