1993 Audi Coupe E 2.6 V6 from UK and Ireland

Summary:

Affordable quality can be fun!

Faults:

Cats x 2 (ouch).

Bulbs.

Heater main resistor.

General Comments:

For a car built 16 years ago with 160,000 miles on the clock, it is in outstanding shape, displaying the fabulous build quality of the era and Audi.

The 2.6 V6 is not the most exiting engine in the world, and perhaps a little over complicated by its now aging electronics, but it pulls well, sounds wonderful, and even after all those miles, can average 32+ mpg on a run, and surprise the odd boy racer.

The downside of Audis of this age is that they all should look fantastic with Audis galvanised bodies, but be sure that the engine has been maintained well, or it can become rather expensive rather quickly.

Over the years Audi have been knocked for lack of prowess on the roads, but the coupe with 225s on will stick far better than many other front wheel drive cars, and provide a massive grin when asked.

The only signs of age on the car are the seats; after 160k they deserve to look a little worn, and do.
