Faults:

The plastic clips on the passenger window motor went kaput (I use the German word here purposely). The traditional fix is to replace the entire motor unit, which is an expensive OEM part. My mechanic was able to rebuild it with some clips he had laying around.

General Comments:

The car is magnificent. I come from sports car driving. I enjoy a real bugs-in-your-teeth type of roadster, and an interesting comparison is this: When driving sports cars, I never turn on the radio. I instead opt to listen to the sounds of the engine, the gear changes, the exhaust note. To me, that is the real music. With the Arnage, I soon found myself again turning off the radio. This time, it is the turbine like smoothness of the engine and the car's confident connection to the road that provide the perfect accompaniment to the serene cocoon of luxury I find myself in whenever I get behind the wheel. I am amazed at how this car manages to satisfy the driver in me, while at the same time completely cossetting me to no end. Maybe it is age, but for me, now, this is motoring.

I use it as a semi daily driver, including a commute in bumper to bumper traffic. Wherever I am going and however long it takes me to get there, I arrive refreshed, invigorated and with a big smile on my face. Driving this car each morning makes you feel that any troubles you are about to face out there in your work-a day world are well and truly beneath you.

With the serious Red Label issues now common knowledge, the Green Label has supplanted the Red Label to become the desirable model to have. It is a reliable, capable, supremely luxurious Proper Motor Car. The 4.4L is actually a perfect engine for the car - it was after all designed for the 4.4. The low marks for operating costs here are due mainly to its abysmal gas mileage.
