Hey I was thinking of doing the same thing you did! I'm about to turn 16 and I am falling in love with these Roadmasters! I too want to smoke every rice burning in sight! I AM SO glad the insurance is low on these! This is turning out to be the perfect car for me!

Anyone with any creative fixes for the trim and molding on the interior of the Road Master contact me at: LLA8548882@aol.com
In spite of the trim, the Road Master is still one of the baddest cars on the road for the size of it!

P.S. The insurance is just under $1200 a year for full coverage and I'm a 17 y.o. male with no tickets and a B average.
That stinks I hate when insurance companies base their insurance rates on grades... I'm so happy I'm on my parents with me as a secondary.

Hello, I also just bought a 1996 Roadmaster, it's a limited collectors edition with all the extra's and a factory towing package, the suspension seems a little stiff, don't ride as soft as my Olds 98 Touring Sedan and it's got a little more power than you need, if you plan on punching the throttle you better be going straight or the rear end will send you side ways. The car was sold to me only because the elderly man who owned it died and his wife said she'd rather his 2005 Chevy Avalanch, living on the Canadian border in Errol N.H.she said the 4X4 was a must and she said her husband owned a GM dealer and bought it new to keep as a collector car. It has 80,000 miles on it and was allways dealer serviced at his dealership and looks as new, I paid $4500.00 for it, probably more than it's worth, but it's a nice powerfull ride and now my 24 year old daughter wants it after she borrowed it while hers was in the shop, she said it smokes them up at 1/2 throttle something her old Turbo Trans Am won't do at full throttle with the 4.9 Turbo V-8 engine. She changed her mind about what she calls old farts cars, she said she'd even like to own one now after driving one with the LT-1 engine, take care and good luck all you Faithfull GM owners, Monty.
