1989 Cadillac DeVille Coupe 4.5 V8 from North America

Summary:

This is the best car I've ever driven, and I wouldn't sell it for anything

Faults:

Since the first day I drove this car, there has only been one problem with it, the car has a white softtop and where the top is bolted the metal is started rusting badly. Other than that the 1989 Cadillac Coupe Deville is spotless.

General Comments:

This car is very fast, but there are 2 problems, the first is the speedometer it stops at 85 mph. um... hello that car was definitely made to do 100 easy.

The second reason is the gas, oh what what gas. That big boy gets 12 miles per gallon, both highway and city.

Even being a coupe, it has a ton of legroom in the back. I sit back there comfortable and I'm 6 feet tall. All exterior and interior lights still work.

I was getting about 25 interstate miles/gallon driving at 70 MPH (without A/C). If you get only 12 driving a sedan, other than Rolls Royce, your car probably needs a tune up.

1989 Cadillac DeVille Sedan 4.5 from North America

Summary:

Absolutely FANTASTIC!

Faults:

I need to replace door panels, leather peeling.

Battery keeps going dead. Can't figure out what is draining it. It's not the automatic antenna, already disconnected that.

Very slow in switching from first to second gear. Works a little better when I pump the gas. Maybe the automatic fuel injection?

Replaced water pump at 126,000, that cost was only $125.00.

Replaced fan around the same time, that was about $250.00.

I need to replace rear bumper assembly.

She needs "De-Ville" nameplate for rear quarterr panels.

General Comments:

I love this baby girl! She is a DREAM. I'm a tiny woman, but love to drive my caddy! I get a lot of complements on her. She's red!

EXCELLENT gas mileage!!! Especially at these prices.

I would definitely buy another one!

Still has stock stereo, very loud, sounds fantastic. Plus the Bose speakers turn down automatically when I have too much base.

So yeah, she's a keeper!

1989 Cadillac DeVille Sedan Deville 4.5 litre V8 from North America

Summary:

Awesome, can't get a better deal

Faults:

I have not had any serious problems with the car, I just had to standard maintenance.

The only problem I have had is one day the power antenna got stuck and you could hear the motor running and running. All I did was disconnect it, and left it up. I really don't think anyone is going to steal my antenna.

General Comments:

Great Car. Quick, but not overly fast. Not too bad on gas if you drive halfway decent. I get about 18-22 mpg on a full tank of gas (17 gallons). City gas mileage can be a drag if you got a heavy foot, or a lot of stop and go. You can get as low as 12-15 mpg if you drive A lot of city with a bad foot. I have gotten upwards 25.3 when I took a long trip and set cruise at 66 MPH (A.C. on whole time). Stock radio sounds great many people ask me if I got a "system". Comfort level in car is great, I am 6'6, 280 lbs, and I'm actually content. Overall its my favorite car out of the many I have owned.
