Was wondering if anyone has ever had the fuel gauge ever not light up on them? I have a 92 Deville with 88k miles on it with the works. But the trouble I'm having is with the fuel system not telling me how much gas I have, and also there is a knocking in the engine. Is that bad, or just some loose lifters, or maybe just needs a major tune up?

Go to the junk yard, and get the trunk lock automatic motor drive and latch for the automatic trunk lock system; it's easy to take off and replace.

I have a 92 Cadillac DeVille. Suddenly we have a brake problem. We have replaced the front brakes, rear brake cylinders, brake lines, and bled the brakes. Still not getting a lot of pressure to the rear cylinders. Getting some, but not a lot. We have changed everything except the master cylinder. ANY ideas??

Keep bleeding the brakes until you get a firm pedal, and in doing so check for leaks.

The keys are expensive to replace. I have a '92 Eldorado and bought an extra set of them. Actually I had them made. Get them made at a locksmith not a dealer. A lot cheaper, but still pricey.

Thanks for having this site. I can see what problems folks have with their cars and what their likes are, as well.

I also have 1992 Cadillac Deville. It has 145,800 miles on it and it gives me trouble. I can go to one place, and if I try to come back, I would have to wait a couple of hours for it to cool off. I thought it was the starter, so I had that changed, but it still does it. I thought it was the computer chip in the key, so I had another key made and it still does it. Now it's beginning to jerk a little; could anyone tell me what the problem is? Thanks.
