Allen, I see you posted this problem regarding your wipers in June of 2010. I am having the exact same problem with my '98 SLS with only 45k miles on the odometer. What turned out to be the cause of your wiper problem and how did you resolve it. My email is 66luxuryliner@bellsouth.net if you wouldn't mind letting me know. Thanks, Greg.

It is the radiator cap. Buy a new one and all should be fine. That's what I did for mine; the gasket in the cap was bad.

I bought a 99 SLS, it would die without warning at various speeds. After much testing and cussing, it turned out to be the security within the switch. It was telling the system the car had been stolen and would shut it down. Fixed the switch and had the car reprogrammed. That was two years ago. No more problem and I'm still driving this car. 228,000 miles on it now.

The bubbling sound in your dash is an air pocket in your heater core; you need to purge all the air from the cooling system.

Are they stripped? If the motor is still working, might just be loose or the ridges could be too worn down to grab. Mine stopped working the other day in a rainstorm; all I had with me was a crescent wrench and a receipt; I tore a strip of paper and wrapped it around the grooved and worn down part that turns and put the wiper assembly back on over the paper and tightened it back up; it was meant as a temporary fix just to get me home, but that was 6 months ago and they are still working fine.

My 99 STS had the same problem, ABS and traction control lights on. The EBTCM (electric brake traction control module) is located left front under the hood below the air cleaner. The module has a ground peg coming from it that connects to a chassis ground. This connection corrodes! Clean it and make sure all is good, and all will be back to normal.
