1991 Chevrolet Beretta GT 3.1 MPFI from North America

Summary:

A sports car that is underestimated

Faults:

Since I have got it I have replaced the brakes cause I wore them out.

I also had to replace the computer. I don't know what went wrong with it.

General Comments:

I like the car a lot. It is a very fast car. I use it to drag race and so far I have beaten every car I raced except one, the Audi S4 twin turbo. I have beaten a base Camaro and a 85 Monte Carlo. I absolutely love my Beretta GT.

I owned a 1988 Chevy Beretta GT, as my first car. It was an awesome car. I bought it from a a neighboring state (KS), where the people are rich, and sell things dirt cheap.

The car was in mint condition, black in color. It had the digital dashboard, which I really liked. It ALWAYS started even on cold winter days, and it beat the living crap out of a Mustang GT 5.0. I had the 2.8 V6.

I sold it to a high school girl as her first car, and I still see it running around town. It now has about 140,000 miles on it.

1991 Chevrolet Beretta GTZ 2.3 litre Quad 4 from Switzerland

Summary:

A money eater!

Faults:

This car has been having problems, ever since I bought it. Here`s what went wrong:

Replaced cylinder head and gasket.

Replaced all four brakes.

New engine mount installed.

Rust on the chassis.

New exhaust system installed.

Slipping clutch.

Electrical problems.

Engine stalling once in a while.

General Comments:

This car is probably the worst car I have ever owned. If you buy this car, be prepared to visit the garage frequently and expect high repair bills. I will definitely not buy a car from this manufacturer again.

I have a friend that had the same car and even more problems. He dumped thousands into it but it kept going wrong. He even had the original Quad 4 rebuilt. He got really screwed up with bad computer codes so he decided to sell it. So I bought it cheap. AND YOU KNOW WHAT!! I got to pull the cylinder head off this weekend to replace a oil pressure relief valve. Oh well.

1991 Chevrolet Beretta GT 3.1 Petrol from North America

Faults:

In the past year, only a small o-ring on the oil pump finally wore out. It cost me about $135 to fix it.

Plus gas and oil changes... this is a really inexpensive, sporty car.

General Comments:

Car gets around 26 mpg overall and has plenty of pickup. The GT models come with almost every available option from GM and can be picked up fairly cheap if you look around.
