1997 Chevrolet Blazer LT 4.3 from North America
Summary:
A terrible terrible vehicle
Faults:
The air conditioner works every once in awhile. This is caused by a random electrical problem.
The heater works sometimes. Always seems to work when it is warm outside, but stops working intermittently when it is cold. There is also a loud random clicking noise when the heater is on.
The side mirrors have become loose and I am waiting for them to fall off. This is a common problem with chevys.
The volume on the stock radio goes up and down on its own.
The front windshield wiper motor stopped working.
The key sticks in the ignition at random times.
The handling on the highway is horrible, the truck "wonders" around for no reason.
The worst thing is that the transmission has an intermittent electrical problem. Sometimes the check engine light comes on and the codes indicate almost everything in the transmission is bad and the truck drives in limp mode (2nd and 3rd gear only). Other times all gears are there and the check engine light clears on its own. I had this checked by a transmission guy and he told me the transmission is fine, it is an electrical problem.
General Comments:
This is the 3rd chevy I have bought in 20 years and the last. All have been rolling pieces of junk.
Whatever you do never by a chevy!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

The stock radio has a feature that automatically turns up the volume when the car speeds up, in order to help cancel out outside noise. Read the manual. Also, maybe your car needs an alignment done.
