I have the 1997 anniversary RS and have replaced practically everything on it. Two transmissions, two air conditioners, seals, brake pads often, two radiators, major engine problems, seals around T-tops and rear hatch. Being a single driver and this car being an automatic, I've lost my faith in Chevrolet Camaro's. I've spent more time driving to the car dealer then I expected.

I own a 30th anniversary SS. One of six made in Canada. It has all the options. I reordered leather factory seat covers. I also changed rear-end to a 4:11.I am very pleased. I have left everything in the town of bristol, Tn sitting in the rear view mirror all makes and models bring it on!

1997 30th anniversary Z-28.

I love this car, though I have had a few minor problems such as the window motors going out. The drivers side seat is getting worn. I am going to fix all the stuff I haven't gotten to yet this month. I want to restore it to show room condition. I need to sell it also, I have no idea what a good price is. I have the only Z-28 anniversary sold at Dale Earnhardt Chevy. Does anyone know what these cars are going for? or any buyers?

I've recently purchased a white 97 RS with t-tops. So far, I love the car, it's fun to drive and is in perfect condition except for an irritating rear-end howl?? The car has 53,000 miles on it and is beautiful.

Just purchased a 97 with T-tops and the 200hp v6 for my wife. We love the car it has more than enough power for her, but I will probably add some more later. Has anyone replaced the factory stereo themselves? I would like to know if there is a jumper plug that bypasses the factory amp. junkytoo@yahoo.com.

This is one great car! I have owned my 97 30th anniversary silver convertible with all the options for 4 years. I drive it 50 miles each way to work and have about 95K on it now. I've only had to replace a pump kit and some gaskets in the trans, otherwise it is totally reliable. Mods include flowmaster, airfoil and K&N. I stuck some 255 50's on it and with the optional stiff suspension it sticks like a vette. On another note, for those of you that are tall (I'm 6'7") you can stretch out in this 'sports car' better than many full sized cars. Love to hear that LT1 scream! For my next car, how about the SS?

Yesterday I bought a red '97 RS. It is a dream car. The interior is in mint condition, the paint is shiny, nothing even close to a dent, and the engine runs like it's brand new. It has the ground effects and spoiler, the monsoon sound system, which is very surprisingly good. It drives as easy as any car I've driven, and corners as good as a corvette (I know). Great leg room, and I fit in it perfectly.

It turns heads continually, and I have already gotten many comments on it from co-workers that think it is a beautiful car. And the best thing is I got it for only $4200!

I just got a 97 rs and it's perfect. The guy who had it before must have kept in the garage because it's flawless and has only 39k miles on it. It's so much fun to drive and I call her the "silver pearl" because of my pirate air freshener. I am in love with this car!!!

I just bought a '97 Z28 30th Anniversary. It already had some modifications to the engine. Now it's more like a death trap. I have some trouble with the T-tops leaking and my check engine light is on also, but I haven't had the code read yet. It's cherry red and has 76000 on the LT-1 engine. I gave 7000 for it. For now, I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I just traded a 1000 dollar 1980 Honda Rebel motorcycle, for a 1997 metallic emerald green Camaro RS 30th anniversary in mint condition.

Don't ask how or why, but it has the real low ground effects in the front t-tops, fin, Yokohoma 225/55 ZR16, 12 disk changer. It's honestly one of the nicest looking Camaros I have ever seen, and I look at `em all...

Think your 'maro is sweet? Check out some pics of my baby. I just had a new engine installed 4200.00 from the Power Exchange in Jax Fl. It has 741 miles on it when I parked it tonight :) Love it..

The oil sending unit failed and I guess fried the engine. Dunno, not a mechanic, but it did cost me. No other problems to speak of, no leaks. I did notice that because of the design of the windows without an upper frame, the windows will rock and break the roller that supports the window.

To prevent this, make sure the window is rolled all the way up or down when closing the door. This way the window won't rock.

I had to go with the stock 3.8L V6. I would have had to change the whole computer system in order to upgrade to the B8. But, hell... I can't complain, like I said I got the car for a beat up motorcycle. Any who... eat your heart out, go check out the pics and see this jewel for yourself.

I have just bought a 97' 30th anniversary Camaro. It does not leak through the t-tops or the hatch. I have parked all sorts of ways and never had a drop of water leaks. Never had any engine problems whatsoever or trans problems (it's a 5 speed). It is very stout and runs great and is very dependable. It still only has 65984 on it at this moment. It is completely stock besides cosmetics, never had it scrub real hard, but if you're not stupid and realize you're driving a low sports car, you won't have any problems with the front end scrubbing...

So Camaro owners and soon to be Camaro owners, don't sweat it.. it's a great car, I rate 11/10.

Be happy with your sweet ride!

I've had my fire engine red, 1997 30th anniversary edition RS Camaro for a year and a half or so, and I love it more than anything, it's my baby :) Never had any problems with the t tops or rear hatch leaking, or any motor problems (knock on wood).

I have no idea what's going on with it now, it has started leaking transmission fluid.. bad.. and tonight it started like rattling when I was driving, so I had it towed home and I'm afraid to drive it, anyone know what's wrong with it? Any help will be appreciated:) thanks...

But overall I LOVE this car and would recommend it to anyone, love how people always stop and stare at it:) And yes you will learn how to park without dragging the nose :D.

If you have any info as to what's wrong with it, my email address is fighterchick92@yahoo.com

Thanks for any help :)
