My father bought an 84 vette two years ago, and we love it. I am only 15 and I have been turned into a car guy within two years because of this car. It has some awsome power under the hood, and it also grips the road with ease at high speeds. This is one of the greatest corvettes ever made.

I bought an 84 Vette with 48,000 Miles for $6,500... It is very clean and in great condition. I have had it for about 6 months and drive it as an everyday car. I have read reviews about this car being a piece of junk, but I just don't see it. This Vette has a lot of power and I have not had a problem with it yet. It gets lots of looks and respect on the street. I love this car and will keep it for a very long time. So if you are looking to buy an 84 Vette you should! Cross Fire Injection or not!!

Hi. I bought an '84 about 2 years ago and love it! I heard they were junk. Now, I don't know what others were driving but it couldn't have been one of these. I get a lot of looks and people askin' me about her. One guy said "It's a Crossfire? That's a shame." So I thought to myself 'OK.' While he was standing outside smokin' his cigarette, I nailed the gas. Well he no longer has that view!! Views are great, but it's nice when you can change a negative one and definitely when it comes to a 'Vette. If they're so bad, why can no one can catch it or even run with it. The handling is awesome. It has all the upgrades that where available in its time. Soon she will have her ground effects. She already has the wing from the factory. The only thing I can say that's rough is the digital dash. There beautiful at night, but the boards do get old and after a while do need to be redone ---- C4.

Just bought a 84 Corvette for $2,000. The body is in great shape, but I have a small problem with the engine fowling out plugs and it seams to be overloading on fuel. I am completely ignorant to this car and engine. If any one could help me with this problem drop me a line @ lilcuntry101@yahoo.com.

I have got an 84 Vette and at first it ran kinda decent. Now it runs really bad, and sometimes will not run at all.

I realize giving $1400 dollars for a "Vette" is very cheap... and rare to say the least. I have nailed the trouble down to one of the injectors. I have no idea where to get another and at this point, really don't care. I have decided to do the un-thinkable!!! I am going to put an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake on, followed by a trick Holley 750 double pumper I have built. Only thing is... I have heard that the transmission does not like this transformation and may not shift. Has anyone tried carbureting an 84 Vette lately?

Thanks and yes... these are fun cars to own and drive!

I am the recent buyer of a 1984 Chevrolet Corvette. I enjoy driving it and taking it to shows.

When I pull up beside people at lights, they tend to rev up their engines and try and see what I've got. Normally I take it as a compliment, but I wanna know? How fast can this thing go? I don't want to get a ticket and risk losing my license. If anyone knows that'd be great!

There is noting wrong with the crossfire injection. It's basic fuel injection. This system needs to have no vacuum leaks at all and have a good fuel pump. Fix the leaks and upgrade to an 1985 TIP fuel pump. You will love the results.

Hello.

I got me a 1984 that someone tried to put a carb on, but was very unskilled and it looks like it was just bolted on. The car would run, but shut off when I floored it or even tried to get in third. I decided to get a fuel injection system called the FAST-EZ EFI MASTER KIT. The person that's putting it on tells me that the transmission is not compatible with the injection system, and that I need another transmission. I want to know if this is true, because I've been reading and it seems to me like the transmission works for a carb, but I haven't seen anything that tells me directly how to do this if possible?

I have an 84 vette and the tranny is not going into overdrive, manual shift 4/3 overdrive. What do I do to fix this?

I did the same conversion you did now the transmission will not shift as before. Did you experience problems like that?

I too just bought a 84 Corvette for $2000. Also with the same problems. What fixed mine was I found a disconnected plug wire, and the front throttle wire plug was also disconnected. Runs a lot better, but now it still has a bad hesitation under heavy throttle.
