2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS 2.3 from North America
Summary:
The Monte Carlo is a good looking practical car
Faults:
The brake rotors and pads had to be replaced at 50,000 miles. This is partially due to the rotors being exposed to a lot of road salt and other elements.
The fake leather on the door interior tears easily. There are several small nicks.
General Comments:
This has been a very comfortable and reliable car for me. The car has never broke down and the only major work I've had done was the brakes.
The suspension and factory Goodyear tires still have a lot of life left. (at 50,000)
The car is not as fast as it looks, but is still reasonably quick and gets over 30 MPG on the highway.
The factory XM radio is very nice, although it does cut out a lot.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Put ceramic pads on it and the squealing will stop. Spend the extra money. It is worth it. Change them yourself. It is not that difficult.
