1994 Chevrolet Silverado Extra Cab V8 from North America
Summary:
Best Goat-Woman Truck EVER!
Faults:
It was my dad's since new before I owned it. Three days after I got it the transmission failed for the first time at 192,000 miles!!! The repair place said he'd never seen one last that long. The engine actually failed before the transmission did. My dad also put a giant aluminum radiator in it and a new exhaust system.
General Comments:
Now that it's got a rebuilt engine AND tranny, there's no stopping me! Well, it's my main vehicle and all I use it for is taking the kids to the bus stop and hauling hay and grain once a week from town. It's perfect! I couldn't ask for a better truck in the snow, rain, or any weather! And the best part is that I don't have to get out and lock or unlock the hubs. I use 4WD every day to get up my driveway so that's a big time-saver.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Okay so I found out my truck (I'm original poster) has a supercharged engine with corvette pistons. This is great and all, except for the fact that all the stock parts are dying! Yesterday, I lost a tooth in my ring and pinion in the rear end. And the toothfairy did not come and give me money! I can still drive, but need to get it fixed asap! Does anyone out there know the gear ratio for the 94 K1500 Silverado 4x4 AT??

OK false alarm, I got it figured out... and I have a 383 stroker in it, not a supercharger!

Oh AND it's got helper springs so I can carry tons of stuff. Short bed though, does seem a bit small-since I'm used to a Ford F-350 Diesel crew cab... but otherwise, it's great... I think I'm getting 17mpg. My Diesel gets that, but it's such a massive hulk machine to drive that I try to only use it when I NEED it. like hauling dead cars or lumber. I couldn't do that with the little Chev. But the Chev is smoother on the dirt roads... the Ford being a straight axle and all. Thanks for reading!
