2003 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LTZ 4.2 I6 from North America
Summary:
A solid, durable, and powerful vehicle for the money
Faults:
Battery was changed early on, free of charge.
General Comments:
This is an extremely reliable vehicle.
The engine is so quiet it's easy to forget you've started the vehicle once inside.
The four-wheel-drive works great in the winter, but the automatic setting is not very effective.
The rear door openings are a bit small, making entering and exiting the vehicle more difficult for some.
Interior quality is good, but the materials used could be better, although the knobs and buttons have a good solid and durable feel.
The transmission occasionally doesn't want to shift, but this is only at higher speeds.
Having 275 horsepower, and 275lb-ft of torque, the engine effortlessly hauls this vehicle around.
In terms of handling, this is no Corvette, but handling is much better than most Sport-Utility Vehicles.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

We just traded our 2003 due to some safety issues that occurred with the suspension. I disagree on two of your complaints. I see a lot of people claiming bad mileage with the TB, but we are getting mid 20's on ours with mostly highway driving with close to 20 around town. We put a lot less gas in it than our last SUV which was only a 215 HP V-6. Also, the ride is among the best I have ever driven. I can cruise all day long in it with no fatigue.
