2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer LS 4.2 from North America
Summary:
A major disappointment!
Faults:
At 88 miles the module for the 4 wheel drive went bad.
At 188 miles the module failed again.
Around 5,000 miles the tank would no longer receive gas and a Technical Service Bulletin was issued resulting in replacing the filler tube.
Around 6,000 miles squeaks in door and hood were repaired.
Around 12,000 miles the latch for the hidden compartment broke.
At 18,000 miles the rack and pinion was leaking and the whole assembly replaced. The truck out of service 5 days.
At 18,002 miles the Axel and CV joint leaking and seal was bad. It was replaced and the vehicle was out of service for 5 days.
At 19,000 the directionals work inconsistently.
At 19,000 the shifter lock is going.
General Comments:
Don't waste your money. I'm a die hard Chevy guy and this truck is a major disappointment.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? No

I think this person is trying to stear people away from good Product, & into possibly one they work for! Maybe like "Toyota" or, etc... Some people will do any thing for a sale. Could be, there jealous of this product! It Would have sounded almost covencing until the last part of the post...
"At 19,000 the directionals work inconsistently"
"At 19,000 the shifter lock is going"
I see this strategy on reviews & forums a lot.

I have the new Trailblazer with 10,000 miles...no issues whatsoever........ a couple oil changes and even better than my last one. Love the Onstar as well.

I have a 2004 Trailblazer EXT LT with 24000 miles and have had only one problem, a dead battery. If I had read your review, I might not have bought it, but I am glad I did and will hope for the best. Seems like there are good and bad examples out there.
