2000 Chrysler Cirrus LX 4 CYLINDER from North America
Summary:
Affordable sporty sedan
Faults:
Squeaky noise when steering wheel was turned, this ended up being the rack and pinion.
Clunk when going over speed bump, this ended up being front driver sway bar.
Noisy power steering, this was a simple adjustment of the belt.
Brakes squeak at low speeds, especially in the wet weather, the dealer said this is typical of asbestos brakes.
General Comments:
When I first test drove this car I instantly loved it. It has had a few problems with the steering and suspension system, the dealership was very good about fixing these problems under warranty, although I wonder why such items would wear out in such a short time.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I have a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus with squeaky, noisy brakes. I have had these replaced numerous times both under warranty and outside of warranty; both by a Chrysler dealer and an independent brake dealer. I still have squeaky, noisy brakes.
Going back to an original comment made by the dealer AFTER I purchased, 'this is a common Chrysler problem, but it doesn't affect the performance of the brakes'. If I had known this was a common problem I would not have purchased the car. As it is, I most certainly will not purchase another Chrysler product if I can help it.
