2000 Chrysler LHS 24v V6 from North America

Summary:

Luxury bargain

Faults:

No major mechanical problems so far. It was recalled for a problem with the drivers bucket seat. Fixed promptly by Chrysler Dealer.

Original tires, Goodyear Eagles, wore out at 40,000 miles. Replaced with Michelin MXV, must softer, quieter ride now. Discovered alignment was incorrect which caused Goodyear's to wear uneven.

General Comments:

Handles well and gets great gas mileage. Recent trip to Florida got about 28mpg while averaging over 70+ mph on the interstate.

The dual position moon-roof is great. Never leaked, even in a car wash.

Infinity sound system is fantastic.

Not sure why but car has been vandalized twice. Once they stole the left rear wheel and last January it was keyed. It has beautiful chrome wheels which are eye catchers.

2000 Chrysler LHS 3.5 from North America

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong. Just oil changes and new tires.

General Comments:

This car is the most reliable car I have owned.

The performance is very good. It has lots of power and handles very well for a large car.

Fuel mileage is outstanding. I get 22 to 23 around town and 28 to 31 on the highway.

I love the heated seats and the cooling/heating system. You just set it on auto and forget it. It holds a very even temperature with a minimum of air movement.

The interior is holding up very well. Even at 65,000mi it looks just like new.

I love the room in the interior as well as the trunk. Even when fully loaded it still handles very well.

This car sucks!!!

Window motors went out.

Over heated.

Leather on the steering wheel is tearing off.

The things that holds up the trunk fell off!!

I have 89,080 miles, and any day now the wheels are going to fall off the axle!!! I would so not recommend this car!

2000 Chrysler LHS 3.5 liter gasoline from North America

Summary:

A nice car that has reliability problems

Faults:

The climate control system has malfunctioned twice now in the last three months.

General Comments:

The climate control system is terribly unreliable in this car and the dealer seems to be unable or unwilling to solve the problem. I bought the car used and it would not surprise me that the prior owner got so fed up with this problem that he traded the car off. It has been frustrating to the point that I am thinking about selling the car.

2000 Chrysler LHS 3.5 V6 High Output from North America

Summary:

An excellent combination of luxury and power

Faults:

Transmission differential went kaput around 25,000kms, but other than that, nothing.

General Comments:

Beautiful interior and exterior design.

Handles extremely well at high speeds for a large car.

Very comfortable on long distance trips.

Averages about 35-37mpg on the highway (great for the size of the car and the engine).

Heated seats are a definite plus in the winter.

The sound system is just awesome!

Powerful, yet luxurious at the same time.

Corners well for a large vehicle.

Great interior features and accessories.

2000 Chrysler LHS V-6 from North America

Summary:

It shows what Americans can do when they want to

Faults:

Flawless so far.

General Comments:

Gas mileage is 24-26 but it will probably improve a little with age.

Very fast.

Incredible leather interior, compact disc changer, moon roof, all power equipment. The most luxurious car I have ever owned.

Enormous trunk... could stack dead bodies back there!

Very sophisticated car, you probably have to be a mechanical wizard to work on this car.

Don't like blind spots caused by the rear roof design and rear vision could be better for backing up.

Chrome 17 inch wheels look cool!

Outstanding comfort, especially in the back seat.

You have to love that little clock in the middle of the dash.

Everyone who rides in this car is very impressed. It is not your father's Oldsmobile!
