2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Base 2.4L DOHC from North America

Summary:

Good car so far. I want to see the GT

Faults:

None so far.

General Comments:

This car is quick, comfortable and easy to drive. Only thing about the automatic transmission is it usually shifts at high revs yielding relatively low gas mileage for a 4 cylinder car (23 freeway). If gas mileage matters you should go for a stick, or hopefully Chrystler will begin to use automatic transmissions with overdrive for this car. It handles great and brakes decent for having rear drum brakes. Only real complaints are that the brakes lock real easy (did not purchase ABS) and the ground clearance is a little too low to make it into my driveway without bottoming out.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring 2.4 turbo from North America

Summary:

Best car I've ever owned!

Faults:

Nothing at all has gone wrong with this car so far.

General Comments:

My very first Chrysler after about 35 years of driving, and I'm very impressed.

It's also my very first convertable. All I can say is fun, fun, fun!!!

Material quality is very good as is fit and finish.

The ride quality is very comfortable for such a small wheel base.

While driving, everything is in easy reach and very logically placed.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Edition 2.4 I-4 from North America

Summary:

Original design with a modern flare

Faults:

The only problem I've has with the car is that the radio antenna has started to show rust.. but that may be due to the fact that I live next to salt water.

Another very minor problem is that when you try to vacuum the seats, any lint or thread on the seat sticks to it so I must use a brush to clean the seats.

General Comments:

This is one great car.

The style is so original and I love the hot rod look to it. The chrome door handles definitely add class.

The interior is well appointed with chrome accents and quality cloth on the seats.

The stereo system is wonderful. The CD player works great and the 6 speaker really do a great job of handling any music.

The seat configurations are convenient too... You can change them to fit any item.

The best thing about the PT is the price. I paid around $17,000 for the Touring Edition with a couple extras.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring from North America

Summary:

I'm still smiling!

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

After 17 months I still smile when I see my car. It's just so cute!

Has an overall quality feel: nice dash, chrome door handles, fun shifter.

I wish the headrests were adjustable, I feel like a hunch back with my head pushed forward. But then, I sit more upright than most people.

2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Edition 2.4L from North America

Summary:

I love my PT Cruiser

Faults:

Nothing has gone wrong with my car.

General Comments:

I have owned five cars and this is the best on so far. For the price. I paid 13,000 for the Touring Edition. The handling is great and the ride is smooth. The car has a 150-horsepower engine. Some people say the pick up is slow, but I think it is just fine. It is a very good car for a mother like me. To transport children and all the things they come with. The car is very roomy. My husband loves it. Especially because the seats are higher up than a regular car. The seats are also very comfortable. He would have preferred the 220 horsepower turbo. Since I was going to be the driver, I did not care about the how fast the car could go. But if you really value your speed the GT Turbo would be a better choice.
