1965 Citroen H-Van H Panel Van 2.0 petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A fabulous vehicle with a near perfect one tonne (plus) load carrying capability

Faults:

As it has the characteristic suicide doors that add to its charm, there have been occasions when a quick entry to the driver's seat has resulted in the indicator switch being broken. The vehicle has a small oil leak coming from the engine-transmission join, but my father (an engineer) says this should not be a surprise!

Rebuilt from bare metal and with many panels replaced or refurbished (Lulu) is in good nick and is a very reliable transporter of the family's collection of mountain bikes on days out.

General Comments:

Possessing bags of character, if not streamlined coachwork, the H van has given myself, my family, friends and casual onlookers a great deal of pleasure. Every family should have a folly!

1969 Citroen H-Van 1.9 petrol from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A delightful, charming vehicle that puts a smile on your face when you drive it

Faults:

Ignition switch falls inside the dashboard.

General Comments:

Great fun to drive, despite slow gear change and lack of speed.

Great view of the world and makes you remember how much fun driving can be.

Makes you feel that 45 mph is the proper speed for a human being to travel at.

Plenty of room and it is easily accessible.

1969 Citroen H-Van petrol from Sweden

Summary:

Old fashioned but spacious

Faults:

A lot of things, it's old fashioned, 3 gear box, 1 circuit brakes and no oil filter.

General Comments:

Well, mine is a special version with a glass fiber chassis mixed with certain other parts, spacious but slow 80km/h and thirsty. Not in love with it like my DS23, but still proud of it!
