1991 Citroen XM V6 24v 3.0 petrol from UK and Ireland
Faults:
Intermittent refusal to start, which the dealer never managed to fix, but I traced to a poor connection. Bulb failure warnings usually wrong - annoying beep everytime you put the indicator on.
General Comments:
Fabulous engine - really takes off over 4000rpm. Great grip although lots of understeer on tight bends. Ride a bit bouncy at times. Very special interior, loads of room. These cars have an unfair reputation for being problematic, although they are very difficult to work on.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

I have owned a car of this specification for 10 years now and never has it shown refusal to start. It was expensive to maintain but when everything was sorted out it became cheaper to maintain and is still running fine, but not on the road. It has had no work done on it for 3 and a half years and the suspension still goes up and down fine. The steering and the brakes work fine, it never seems to need more oil putting in and the LHM fluid level doesn't seem to be dropping.
My Ratings For This Car:-
I would definitely buy another Citroen.

I hardly ever took it to the main dealer as there is a man that works 2 miles from the dealer and does a much better job than the dealer ever does.
