I used to have a SCAT petrol motor. Loved it. Slow flat out at 95kph, but could go up the side of buildings.
Now looking for another one (diesel). If anyone knows where one is in Qld, contact me. Email david.debbie2@bigpond.com.

I bought a replacement clutch plate, pressure plate and thrust bearing online from a Victorian clutch and brake place for about $200. Sorry, I can't remember the name, but a search online is how I found it.
Cheers, Steve.

I have an F65R - MP (!?) traytop that I need to replace the brakes on. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the workshop manual?

I have an F55 flat deck truck and also have the manuals. I will look into the legality of copying these, as I see there are many enquiries for manuals.

Hi there,
I have a mate on a farm whose '83 diesel Daihatsu needs some TLC. I would love to get my hands on a manual for the sake of ordering and servicing the parts. I agree with the comments, and can confirm that these vehicles, if you can call them that, are indestructible. I think this is where the producers for the Transformers got their idea from.

I just found a site from Europe called Euro Spares; you can get just about whatever you want there.

I am looking for two diff centres for a 1984 Daihatsu Scat. Crown wheel has 43 teeth. I have been told it is an F56, 2.8 diesel ute.
If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.

Where do I go for engine or engine parts for my SCAT, as the head needs replacing? I can so far only find head gaskets.
Thanks.

Scat motors are from Toyota; one of the petrol motors was a 12r. Check to see who produced your engine.

Hello, I have a Daihatsu F55 diesel with a 4 speed. I'm looking to upgrade to a 5 speed gear box. Any ideas what gearbox would bolt straight in with no fuss??

Hi, I have had quite a few of the Scats from the F10 to F65. At the moment I have an F25 which was a 1600cc petrol, which I changed to a diesel 2.8.
To the guy who wanted to fit another gearbox; you can put a Rocky box in, but you need to make a tail shaft with the Rocky uni yoke at the front and Scat uni yoke at the back. You will need to cut a section out of the tail shaft. If you don't have a lathe, take it to driveline service. It will cost about $700.00. If you are going to go to the trouble, take the rear brakes backing plates off a Rocky, put them on as you will lose your centre hand brake. There is a bit of work in it. If you need any parts let me know; at the moment I have 5 Scats.
Cheers.

Hi mate, I am restoring an F60 Scat and an F65 scat. I am currently on the hunt for parts. I'm interested in what model Scats you have?

There's a brass bolt on the underside of the tank from which you can drain the fuel.
I'm looking for replacement clutch parts for a 1983 Scat F65P tray. Any ideas?
