Yes, the YRV is a great car and whilst there will be minor niggles with most cars, think what you would pay for a toyota YARIS Verso which is a very similar model from the parent company... silver is the best colour... it looks great in the sun and the glass roof a bonus...44000 trouble free miles on the clock and the car cost £3000...an absolute steal... go on buy one.

I have had my Daihatsu YRV for the past five years and I have never had a complaint about the engine. The only thing I did was to change the fan belt. The rear engine mount needs changing now. I changed brake pads once. The car's mileage is 152000 plus. It is a fantastic car. It is reliable and comfortable. What more can you ask for.

Sorry to say, but I find the YRV sluggish and unresponsive, with a terrible throttle action.

On a brighter note, I will soon be taking delivery of a 1.25 Fiesta Ghia; having previously had 1 of these for 5 years, I can honestly say it out performs the YRV in every way; you don't know what you've got till it's gone.

I have just got a YRV Premium Pack, and I have to say I like it a lot.

I have some disabilities which make it very difficult for me to get in and out of cars, and they also make it difficult and painful to go on long journeys. The YRV suits me very well, I can get in and out of it fairly easy compared to most other vehicles I have tried, I can now enjoy driving again and go on longer trips. I find it comfortable, it handles well and the engine is nippy for its size.

I like the look of it too, it's sporty looking for a recreational vehicle.

I would suggest anyone with problems getting in and out of cars due to back problems and leg problems should try one of these out, they may be pleasantly surprised. :0)
