1991 Dodge Daytona 2.5 from North America
Summary:
Great car for the money; take care of it
Faults:
Bad valve cover.
02 sensor went out.
Front driver's tire went flat one day.
General Comments:
These cars are extremely reliable, but without a manual transmission they seem very gutless.
The comfort is amazing, because the gauge cluster, and almost everything else on the interior is Daytona specific.
My struts in the front are going, and I may need to replace them in a few months.
The rear deck lid struts are good, but it's hard to find good struts for cheap, if at all. Otherwise it's ~$40 to replace one!
Seats are very firm, and I love that. I think they work great for long drives.
I think they should have been rear wheel drive, but even the front-wheel drive is easy to work on on these vehicles because they have a lot of space under the hood.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
