2011 Dodge Grand Caravan from North America
Summary:
Not just power, American power
Faults:
Here's my story. I only had the 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan for only 4 days. It was a rental with 48k miles. I drove it from Tampa Fl. to Dalton Ga. to NYC. The car was perfect, comfortable and easy to handle. It was a smooth ride, and the gas mileage was very good.
General Comments:
The real test for this car (Dodge Grand Caravan) began on the trip from NYC, going back to Tampa Fl. I was starting a new business in Tampa Fl. By luck, I found used custom racks for carpet rolls in NYC. It was 7 heavy duty steel racks plus 40, 13ft. steel poles and a double sided carpet manual jack (approx. weight 4 to 5 thousand pounds of steel).
With the help of a couple friends in NYC, we tucked in the back seats of the Caravan to get more space. We stuffed the steel racks inside the Caravan along with the manual jack. Strapped the 13ft steel poles on top of the Caravan, and I was ready to go.
After 1200 miles and 23 hours of driving on the I95, I made it to Tampa Fl. No problems, no issues not even a dash warning light. That van is a MONSTER!
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

Which MUST be why there are tons of these on the road... even a lot of older ones, right? Please. These vans are very dependable. My wife and I just traded a 1998 Grand Caravan that had 230k on it. Not because it was falling apart, but because the kids are gone now and we could. Bought a Dodge Journey, and are just as happy with it.

Will probably start falling apart after 5 years, especially if abused.
