2005 Fiat Albea Active 1.3 MultiJet from Turkey

Summary:

Great economy and reliability

Faults:

Nothing.

General Comments:

I bought this car for fuel efficiency and cheap service. But it turned out to be more than I expected.

It is perfect fit for city driving, comfortable enough to travel around, large boot space, reasonable leg room for rear passengers, good handling, and small enough to park easily.

Might be a little dull on the highway. Combination of high speed and curves, you end up with a rolling car. Noise is also an issue in long distance driving. But apart from all these, it will cost you nearly nothing to travel. Fuel consumption combined is 4.5-5l / 100 km.

Boot space is so spacious for that size car.

Service is cheap, but I should say that I have been to service only for regular checks, as there was nothing wrong with the car. When I was on 90000 km, brake pads weren't changed, and I was told by service that there is at least 20000 km more to go, and they were right.

After 7 years of driving that car, I can say it is not the most comfortable, nor the fastest, but definitely reliable and very cheap to run. For sure, I will get another Fiat.

2003 Fiat Albea EL 1.2 16v from Romania

Summary:

Medium performance, great interior space, low price

Faults:

Nothing so far.

General Comments:

This model is manufactured in Turkey and it is sold only in Turkey, Poland and Romania, so far.

The interior space is great, the seats are very comfortable.

The suspension is very adequate for the awful roads in Romania, and especially Bucharest.

Fuel consumption is pretty good: 9l/100 km city driving and 6.5l/100km highway driving.
