2008 Fiat Multipla Dynamic Family 1.9 diesel multijet from UK and Ireland
Summary:
Quirky madness
Faults:
Oil leak.
Suspension creaks.
Brakes.
Clutch (twice, expensive).
Horrific interior plastic "quality" (I don't think there was a panel unbroken when I was done with it).
Plus the usual wear and tear.
General Comments:
Our 2008 Multipla was at least an improvement on the first generation's looks. But that wouldn't be too hard.
It was still an ugly car inside and out. We needed a spacious family car however, and to be fair it served its purpose for that need.
OK to drive, not very fast nor economical for diesel. Yes it did 40 mpg or more, but similar diesels of the generation did a bit more.
Dashboard style was insane. Just looked weird. Very comfortable however and spacious.
If you just want a large family vehicle, I guess they were OK for the money. Ours was scrapped at 11 years old. Failed MOT on too many things. Did not hold its value well either. Just not that good or reliable. Got by on its crazy image which appealed to zany people.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Don't Know
