I am a proud owner of a 2002 Ford Escort ZX2 and I would agree that it does have a lot of power. I have taken it to the track and it ran 1/4 in 17 seconds and this is stock. Second why would you put 4K in a neon?

I drive a 1999 ZX2 Hot Coupe, I have a Weapon R Short Ram Air Intake, Borla Catback, Pace Setter Headers & a B&M short Shifter. This car had a lot of power stock and I could leave Hondas sitting at red lights. This car is misjudged too much and why $4,000 on a neon?

These cars are not fast and they are low quality, and I am a ford man, My Brother has a ZX2 Hot coupe and it is s.l.o.w. 17's and 18's is not fast, If you want a ford tuner buy yourself a Festiva, that is the true ford sport compact compact. 13's after spending 4 grand isnt bad, but that is probably not with the price of the car, if you want a cheap 13 second car buy a 5.0 put a gear and full exhaust on it and bump up the timing.

Uhhhhhh. I almost beat a zx2 with my tempo. you guys need a ride that really is fast before you can say that.

Wow..Never, ever thought I'd see someone mention a Festiva as a tuner car! Surprisingly though, they do make fun tuner cars, as just about any 4 cylinder Mazda engine will fit into one of those cars.

I have a 2001 ZX2 and this car is quick I will go up against a Dodge Neon anytime. Odd though that you mention the Festiva years ago I had a L+ model with the 5-speed and it was a quick car with only 60 something horsepower it would really roll.. thank god I never into an accident in it. They replaced it with the Ford Aspire which was way to heavy for the Festiva engine it used. I had a 1994 Aspire 5-speed and it was a slug and if you switched on the air it was over-
