2004 Ford F250 6.0 diesel from North America
Summary:
Lots of power that sucks lots of fuel
Faults:
Auto windows sticking.
AC is not cold.
General Comments:
My only gripe is the miles per gallon. It is lousy - 14!!! The salesman said it would be 19 to 22.
I talked to the service dept and they tell me that they are hearing the same complaints from most owners.
However, all the salesmen in the same dealer are still telling potential customers to expect 22.
I have yet to find an owner that is getting anything different than the 14mpg that I'm getting. I now have 9,000 miles on it.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes

The poor MPG is due to not being broke in yet.
Diesels usually have a 20,000 to 40,000 mile break in period.
It is terrible while in the period, but once you're out of it, everything is fantastic.

People may knock Dodge, but to say the Powerstroke is superior to the Cummins, the people are fooling themselves.

I have a Dodge with very high mileage on the truck, and it hauls a heavy load every day I work it. When you can say that about your trucks, then comment on Dodge. Mine has 1.3 million km on the original drive line.

I have had really great mileage with my 250 Super Duty. I am getting an average of 17.5 overall mileage and it is still going up, that's fantastic compared to the Dodge I used to drive.
Fit and trim are also very good. This truck with leather seats, Towing Command Center, and all around great looks is fantastic. The ride for a big truck is good also, the only complaint I have and I don't really consider it that big of a problem is it's turning radius.
When it comes to power and towing, it is unbeatable. My friend has a Dodge with the Cummings Diesel and My ford out pulls and out runs it consistently. He is looking into selling his and buying a Ford.
