1986 Ford F350 Dual Wheels 6.9L Turbo from North America
Faults:
Some fuel pump problems.
General Comments:
Currently has 340,000 miles & is low 1+ quart at every oil change. Aftermarket turbo added in 1992 ($2,800), made a big improvement in power. Still pulls great.

Ford 350 may be a work horse, but does have flaws one is that the steering is incase in cast and has one tendency to snap thus losing your ability to shifty from park to driving. This is the column shift selector tube which the plunger transmission control select rides in. It is a common problem with ford steering columns is that they used the magnesium casting. Uniquely enough that particular part doesn't have a part number because they make you buy the complete assembly of pieces that go inside. The truck in itself is great work horse though I agree mine has 174,000 miles on it and this is the first piece on it I have had to replace.
