1990 Ford F350 XLT 460 from North America
Summary:
True workhorse! Best truck I owned
Faults:
The front calipers heated and melted the rubber boots.
The rear brakes needed frequent adjustment.
The power window motor (driver side) needed replacement.
Steering gearbox and tie rods needed replacement at 90,000.
General Comments:
This is a true work truck, not economical for daily use.
Very reliable, always started and towed numerous toys behind it without a drop in power.
Too large to be 4-wheeling, however when ever I was stuck in the sand I simply locked the hubs and let the drive train and 33" all terrain tires get me out.
I sold it because I no longer had trailers and opted for a smaller 4x4, would recommend this rig to anyone who has a need for it.
Would you buy another car from this manufacturer? Yes
